I just read an article on Monster.com, which lists the best cities now to create jobs. Many of these cities are Texas, Austin, and is ranked # 1 in the list. The reasons are many, including a favorable business climate, technology initiatives, and collaboration between business and UT (University of Texas).
Overall, Texas is the only national state is experiencing employment growth. Why? He is a conservative state, fiscally responsible, with an economy diversified business.
But everyone wants to live in Austin, because aesthetically, IT is a beautiful city. Located in the Hill Country of Central Texas Austin has hills, trees, lakes, deer, and beautiful landscapes.
I lived in Austin for almost 12 years, from 1996-2008. Today, I live in Houston. When people from other parts of Texas in Austin think the first thing they ask is: "Oh, it's so pretty, how did you go?" But this is only superficial, and tell you why – and why not be the best city in the nation for job growth – all based on firsthand knowledge and experience.
With a population of less than 1 million, excluding the metropolitan Austin, Austin considered a medium-sized city. Also happens to be the capital of Texas. Like most state capitals, Austin does not the city. Unlike Houston, there is no real industry in Austin, the three largest employers are: 1) The Texas State 2) of the University of Texas, and 3) high-tech industry, which includes Silicon Valley companies and Internet startups.
In Austin, wages are low and prices are high. Why? Well, first, the state is one of the biggest employers, and historically, the state is a entity with low wages. Second, Austin is not only the capital of Texas, is also a college town, and therefore the market is flooded with college highly qualified, willing to work at all to stay in Austin. Forget Negotiating a job offer, because unless you take the salary offered, almost always there are at least 10 or more qualified candidates lined up behind you who are willing to take the same job.
These two factors combine to suppress wages in all areas. In addition, state wage caps (like any government job because the pay scale), and employers in the industry of high technology (Dell, Freescale, AMD, etc) are constantly firing and retrenchment if your work is always in danger. When we lived there, I knew many people in high technology that have been in constant search for a new job or moving from one job to another.
In early 1990, a large wave high-tech companies in Silicon Valley has opened a factory in Austin, which helped increase employment. People from out of state laughed at the way it was cheap to buy a house across California, and prices have risen. Today, real estate is too expensive in Austin. Above all, it's the most expensive city in Texas what the cost of living. All (restaurants, groceries, gasoline, dry cleaning, that name) is more expensive, and adds. Property taxes are also higher. Thus, over time, Austin became a city of low wages and high prices.
People laugh in disbelief when I say, but Austin is still a small town in many ways. Many people who live there are small towns in other parts of Texas: Del Rio, mainly, Victoria, Corpus Christi and cataracts Wichita, so these transplants, Austin is a city "great." Also, Austin does not like foreigners, and if you are a member of a particular "group" – Ie. graduate of the University of Texas, or political connections, or a native of Austin, you will find many doors closed.
Take my brother-in-law, for example. He lived in Austin for over 10 years and worked as vice-president of a nonprofit. He applied for a job as executive director another organization, but it got the job. Instead it was offered to the sister of a local politician. So while my brother-in-law went to the candidates qualified candidate is not political connections. While I realize that this kind of thing can happen anywhere at any time for any reason is more prevalent in Austin.
Another friend of mine's brother moved to Austin to Oklahoma City. A lawyer, he fought for private practice in progress. A foreigner, who could not get any business in Austin, and finally back to Oklahoma. These are fairly typical examples, and only serves to demonstrate that people place and matter.
As a city, Houston has much to offer. First, people are much more open and accepting of newcomers. It is much easier to solve and make friends and / or business relationships. Secondly, there is still much to do in terms of entertainment and cultural scene is not comparison in terms of live theater and a world-class museum of Fine Arts. Houston is a city of well-paying jobs and lower cost of living – especially when it comes to property – So your money goes much further in Austin.
So no matter the location. Especially when starting a business. Austin vs Houston? I'll take Houston any day!

The blackjack game is increasingly popular and enjoyed by many around the world, but behind the maps is an interesting story to return to France. We will study the progression of blackjack over the years …
Before Blackjack
To have invented blackjack, would have needed a traditional deck. The maps are very old, and although the exact date, that have been arbitrary, is not known, a rough estimate back to 700AD in China during the Tang Dynasty. While different from those we know today was the beginning of the letters. They are now used in many games today, including Gin Rummy, Poker Texas Hold 'em and Omaha, to name a few.
Pontoon
The true origin of Blackjack can be followed in France in the 17th century, where he went by the name of twenty- which means '21 'in French. The game was similar to that currently played, but there were some differences, including the dealership is the only person who helped double. In addition, players were able to bet after each round, which is not allowed today.
Across the sea
During the French Revolution, the game makes its way through the seas of America. At that time, the U.S. have banned all gambling in the country, and should be played in the underground illegal gambling. His popularity stood the test of time and finally legalized in 1931, when IT was still known as the "Game 21".
Pioneers
Around the 50s, the game has always been seen as an opportunity if necessary to beat the dealer. However, in 1953, all this would change, like Roger Baldwin stated mathematically fully explore the game. It made by calculating probabilities and game theory beat the house edge. Their findings were published in a book called "Optimal Strategy href =" http://www.bwincasinoblog.com/card-games/blackjack "> Blackjack.
But the book really caused waves throughout the scene and filled the casino owners of terror "Beat the Dealer" by Professor Edward Thorp Or, using more advanced math, science and computer systems in order to reveal details about the game
modern times
A loud noise is created Blackjack especially when a group of MIT scientists were able to light an estimated $ 4,000,000 during the years of casinos in the United States. Unfortunately private investigators were sent to deal with them one by one, are banned, ending his days of card counting.
With Poker, Blackjack has experienced the success of online gaming on the Internet, where most online sites now offer the game.
Blackjack has come a long Road, gambling houses France, world domination, and is sure to be loved by hundreds of years to come.
