Have you ever found that you tear up every time you get near an onion? Have you ever experienced a pepper burn? Chances are good that if you love Tex-Mex cuisine as much as me, you have encountered a good many unique conditions or situations where medical science just did not help one bit. Perhaps you just want some warm tortillas or want to know how to keep fresh fruit looking fresh. Regardless of the tip you need, those tips may be here!
Tearing up while cutting onions is common, but you do not have to suffer any longer. Get a candle. Yes, a simple candle. Light the candle and start cutting. For many people, this will relieve the tearing up associated with cutting into the heart of your favorite onion.
Warm tortillas are a favorite in my house. There are two ways you can warm up your own tortillas. Wrap three tortillas in foil with a dampened paper towel. Place the foil package in a preheated oven at 300 degrees for 10 minutes. You will have nice, warm tortillas ready to put into the tortilla warmer. Of course, you can also place three tortillas in the microwave on an appropriate plate covered with a moistened paper towel for 20 seconds for a nice warm tortilla experience.
Fresh fruit tends to turn brown after being handled or sliced. Whether you are slicing into an avocado, a peach, strawberries, or apples, try coating with a small bit of lime or lemon juice. The ascorbic acid helps the oxidation associated with the browning.
Grabbing for the nearest glass of water after biting into a hot pepper or chili is natural reflexes kicking in. However, the chemical that causes that burning discomfort is made worse by water. Instead, grab milk or ice cream. This will help alleviate the discomfort.
Roasted peppers are delicious as a main dish or as an ingredient. You can roast any pepper by cutting the pepper in half or quarters if excessively large. Take the seeds out with a spoon, and place the peppers on a baking dish sprayed with non-stick spray. Place in a preheated 400 degree oven for 10-20 minutes depending on the oven. This is delicious and easy.
Cooking spray is popular these days. However, if you use a cooking spray, use an olive oil cooking spray. IT tastes a whole lot better and is significantly healthier for you and your family.
Frozen food generally is a great way to feed your family on those evenings when something quick is needed. However, you should remove and toss any food that is over 3-months old. The food will become freezer burned and distasteful.
Cooking tips are a great way to insure you get the most out of all your meals. Tex-Mex cuisine is a popular choice for many people these days, and you will find you get more out of your meal when you gather up tips for your own. The next time you are cooking, consider what you can do to make that meal healthier without losing the delicious taste. You may be surprised at what you discover.

My Klein S-5 pickups arrived earlier than I’d expected, so I put ‘em in, set ‘em up, and ran some recordings. Unlike my previous video, there is no clipping, or other issues along those lines. All the sounds were captured cleanly. First you’ll hear the Tex-Mex pickups, in all 5 positions. I play all 5 positions clean, then with the Tube Screamer, and then the Boss BD-2 (both Keeley modded). Finally, you’ll hear the S-5 in the same configurations. I’m playing the same riff every time, but my consistency isn’t great. I could have probably played _more_ stuff with both pickups, but really—I want to play with the guitar, and not be making test recordings all day I made the recordings within a few hours of each other, and didn’t touch the equipment in between. I also used the same strings before/after, so there shouldn’t be any “new string advantage” for the S-5s. I think the S-5s are pretty great. IT‘s definitely a different sound compared to the Tex-Mex set, or the Seymour Duncan Alnico Pros in my Koa Strat. I have to experiment with my Hot Rod Deluxe now to figure out how to set it up for a nice tone with these pickups

When IT comes to getting the best in cuisine, we often look to good, old fashioned favorites we grew up with. For me, that would mean taking a look at authentic Mexican recipes that bring a piece of Mexico into my home. This is a delicious cuisine that is surprisingly healthy, but I have to admit, I have a soft spot for Tex-Mex cuisine as well. Too often I get asked, “What is the difference?” The difference is actually quite profound, but both cuisines are definitely popular today, and knowing how to tell the difference can save a lot of embarrassment as well as a lot of calories.
Authentic Mexican recipes. That is a term you will see all over the internet, and quite frankly, the term is used loosely. This leads to a lot of people believing Tex-Mex cuisine is the real deal. Let us take a look at what both cuisines are, and what the difference actually is when comparing these two delicacies.
Authentic Mexican recipes are going to be filled with a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. Real Mexican food is a bright coalition of healthy, fresh ingredients generally baked to perfection. The food is inherently healthy with little cheese or sour cream. In fact, salsa is one of the healthiest foods on the planet! Salsa is made without added sugars or vinegars, and this makes a real salsa a wonderfully healthy addition to any meal or snack. Add in freshly baked tortilla chips and you have a snack or addition to any meal that will tantalize the taste buds while offering vitamins and nutrients you need during your day.
Tex-Mex cuisine is generally going to be filled with a lot of the same ingredients, but you will find a lot of fatty cheeses are used. In addition, a lot of the foods will be deep fried which makes a healthy dish not so healthy. The fact is that it is not the foods or ingredients that are unhealthy; it is how the foods are prepared. Baked foods are always healthier than fried foods due to the lack of being fried in grease. While Tex-Mex cuisine is delicious and preferred by most, authentic Mexican recipes are healthy by default.
Not only are these foods delicious, but they are also brilliant in color and presentation. With vibrant greens, yellows, and reds, any meal is going to start feeding your senses as soon as it is presented. That is the beautiful of authentic Mexican recipes – they bring that vibrancy into your home for easy preparation. When you need healthy and delicious, the best foods in all of Mexico will surely be a crowd pleaser!
When it comes to comparing Tex-Mex cuisines and the best of authentic Mexican recipes, you will find that preparation is everything. You will get the real taste of Mexico in vibrantly colored dishes that will surely be a favorite for years to come. Whichever one you choose, you can rest assured you are making a decision that is best for you and your family. Whether you are appreciating the delicious of fried or baked, you are getting a delicious meal best suited to you.

Many have enjoyed a wonderful plate of nachos at their favorite Mexican restaurant. You can easily make them at home when you buy organic spices such as chili powder, cumin and garlic powder. A dish like this also makes a handy way to use up leftover cooked chicken or ground beef. You can combine the meat with the bulk organic spices chili powder, cumin and garlic powder, and add a splash of lime juice. Let that cook briefly so the meat absorbs all the great flavors. Then place some organic tortilla chips in a large pan, and layer on some refried beans, the seasoned meat, some salsa, and top with shredded Monterey Jack or Colby Jack cheese, and top that with some sliced ripe olives and green onions, and bake for a few minutes over medium heat to melt the cheese and heat the dish. Easy and tasty.
Empanadas are another great dish that look impressive yet are quite easy to make from scratch using bulk organic herbs and spices. They are little fried or baked dough pies that are filled with any number of savory fillings, and occasionally sweet fillings. The quick way to deal with the dough is to use purchased puff pastry that you roll out and cut into small circles. A filling could include some finely chopped garbanzo beans, along with dried bulk organic spices such as onion and green bell pepper. Other bulk organic herbs and spices that you will use include garlic, chili powders and parsley, as well as lemon juice and grated cheese. Place a couple of tablespoons of the filling in the center of the circle of dough, then fold IT in half and press the edges together with a fork to seal the filling in. At this point they can be fried or baked until golden.
Many restaurants purchase organic spices wholesale for preparing a variety of Mexican-inspired dishes. Favorites such as fajitas, enchiladas, Arroz con Pollo or Chicken with Rice, and other staples of the Mexican restaurant will rely upon organic spices wholesale in order to season the dishes properly.
You can buy organic spices as well as wholesale spices from quality online spice merchants.

The Spanish words for “sixth bass” are Bajo Sextos. IT is the name for a special type of musical instrument popular in a relatively small geographical area. The twelve string guitar is a strong component of musical groups formed and prevalent in the area of northern Mexico and southern Texas. It comes in both acoustic and electric forms.
The tuning of the bajo begins with the lowest string and goes to the highest string. There are six double courses of strings, twelve in all. The notes are E, A, D, G, C and F, respectively.
From the mid 1950s northern Mexican music has been listened to and enjoyed by Mexicans and Anglos alike. The music goes by several different names, musica mexicana-tejana and conjunto are the most common. The music genre is also known as Tex-Mex, but this is not totally accurate, since the nortena music predated conjunto.
Conjunto ensembles use the bajo to provide the low and rhythmic base line for the music. It enhances the musical line performed by the other instruments. The instrument also is used to carry the chord changes. The instrument is used to enhance other musical groups, but it is best known in the musical genre of nortena and conjunto.
Because the music is found in a relatively limited geographical area, there is not as much demand for this instrument as some of the other stringed instruments. The available inventory includes beautiful and carefully crafted instruments in several different types of wood. The back of some of the quality designs include cedar, mahogany or Indian rosewood. The tops are constructed of cedar. The fingerboard and bridge is made of rosewood. Other more exotic woods are also used in some instruments.
The finish of the instruments is beautiful. The thickness of such instruments might vary somewhat, so the player can choose the instrument that is most comfortable. Many of such Specialized guitars are finished with a decorative motif. Handcrafting is an art for those who create the instruments. Those bajos are highly prized.
For members of a nortena or conjunto musical group, the sound of the bajo sextos is required. Serious performances have sound and style that is unique. The rhythm and melody enhances the sound of the group.
