MEXICO CITY, with some 20 million inhabitants, is the largest city in the Western Hemisphere. Enormous growth, raging crime, and tumultuous politics have also made IT one of the most feared and misunderstood. Yet in the past decade, the city has become a hot spot for international business, fashion, and art, and a magnet for thrill-seeking expats from around the world. In 2002, Daniel Hernandez traveled to Mexico City, searching for his cultural roots. He encountered a city both chaotic and into

March 27th, 2011 No comments

Here’s a near mint condition 2000 Fender Standard Strat for you to check out…completely stock and I just replaced the strings on IT for the first time…it got played for a few lessons and the guy gave up and put it in the closet…I set it up and adjusted the bridge to sit firmly against the body so it will stay in tune better and you also get a bit more of the body wood resonance going on. I’ll be putting it up on eBay with a great wood/tolex style hard case in a nogames, no hidden reserve auction. Also…Guitars Wanted as I’m always looking for more guitars…I buy/sell/trade ‘em. Any questions, just ask… Here is a link to my current eBay auctions if you are interested… shop.ebay.com If you like what you hear, or are interested in any of my current or future used guitar offerings, subscribe…you’ll get a heads up on any guitar that I’ll be listing for sale on eBay as I post a video here first. Vacation House in the Ensenada area?

Looking for a house to rent for one week in November for Thanksgiving. Holy preferred Tomas or near the Ensenada area. Beachfront is not necessary, but nice. Quiet, clean home for seniors interested in art, not party. Can someone help me. I'm not familiar with the region. IT would be like a farm, an old warehouse, or authentic Mexican villa and leave a cultural experience. Thanks.

Short on villages and farms, but you can see the land of wine, yes, we have a … Guadalupe Valley thirty miles inland from Ensenada. Great tasting rooms and some good restaurants in the area. Try Rancho El Parral hosting site.

A good place to visit Washington in Seattle?

Going on holiday tomorrow to Seattle for washing. Any recommended places to visit? I live in San Antonio and around the world are thinking of visiting the Alamo, but I know there are many cultural sites in Mexico can only be found in San Antonio, which are much more fun. Any ideas? They also have 3 months to 3 years with us.

Pike Place, Space Needle, etc are good. You can visit the Science Center or Children's Museum (near the Space Needle). Riding the ferry (which can not walk too, stand by, stay and return travel) – or down to Bremerton and visit the historic USS Turner Joy. (There is a large naval base here – so the ferry boat has a lot of cold) Take "Underground Tour" (Although I do not think that children are allowed). IT's in the city before being raised. It gives a lot of local history. If you have a car, explore the neighborhoods of the city. "Seafair" is this weekend. The Blue Angels were there and racing seaplanes. http://www.seafair.com/

Any advice or tips for Carnival Cruises?

Took the Carnival Pride to Mexico Rivera. Any suggestions on how to obtain improvements rooms, excursion to enter, etc?

If you wait a week or two before departure and contact your booking agent, which often can get an update Free. This depends, of course, if the ship is sailing with empty cabins. When fully booked, there is nothing to update. If the other cabins So when the boat is empty, however, might as well put that level. We have six seasons improved in all but one of them. Our cruises most recent week of Thanksgiving and an update of a room in a small suite with a double bed and sitting area with sofa and coffee table. As for excursions, I recommend the book online instead of the ship. IT's easy and you do not have to queue to book. For the "what" to do, depends on what Like you do when you get to your ports of call. If you want to discover other cultures, you can visit a town or ruin, for example, or see a production folk. If you is an athlete I've seen someone make a zip line tour that did not explode. Adventure? The ceynotes are fine if you're not the kind of claustrophobia. Floating in an underground river or stream ending in a cave a lot, etc. These are usually bottled water is like having an adventure "Day Spa". We submersible in the past and have felt disappointed by how much reefs have died since the beginning of diving back into the first four years. And if you like the tuba tuba new opportunities for all the work for you. Party Animal? The party boats that go to private beaches or on the islands are very large. It all depends on what type of activities you enjoy. My husband and I still slept on the boat (if it was a port of call that we had already explored). As almost everyone is descended from the ship, which had swimming pools and other services for us alone.

Toys for poor children in Mexico.?

I am ashamed to say that soon will have about $ 700 slightly used toys sitting in my attic soon. If these things are going to the poor children of Mexico? Do that? be offended in a strange way? The average child in Mexico has something like what we have? This Christmas, my child has a seat in the trunk and back full of plastic toys in the family. IT's too … not be so used and that will go into storage for next year. I live about 3.5 hours from the border and I think we could arrange something very big.

I am an American living in Mexico and I think that toys are welcome. Mexican Riviera Cruise Tour?

"My husband and I are going on a cruise along the Mexican Riviera with Carnival Cruise Line in Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, and Mazatlan. I wonder if IT's worth spending money for travel on land or if there is enough to do without spending money between them. Are the beaches near the port where the ship docks at can only relax on the beach and hire kayaks or jet ski? and close to shops and restaurants so you can walk? Mainly just want a vacation relaxing on the beach. And if we decide to go on a shore excursion is best to book the cruise line as it can be expensive … or I can find better deals out the boat? Thanks for any reply.

We pay to see what we have already paid to travel is a loss. Always clean and explore, so you can see what you want and walking is a great way to keep out of the book, plus all the foods you eat a lot! Each of these three ports are easy to walk and shop or simply combing the beach. The last time in Los Cabos, we went to Cabo Wabo and Sammy Hagar running, had a drink in the bar with him and got pictures taken (not a big fan, but was too cold) Would not this is a survey of ships! Let's have fun and a cocktail for me. ENJOY !!!!!

Mexico vacation with young children?

We seek to take our children (and 6 years 1) Mexico is included in this winter. Can anyone recommend a resort that would be appropriate for the holidays? We hope that something good on the beach with a mini-club … etc. We would also like something that is safe and clean. We chose Mexico because IT seems quite affordable, but are not committed to it or anything. So if you know something great elsewhere, then feel free to post!

Want to go to a station? Hate 2 break it then, but u last went to a station paid $ 4,000 for 3 days 5 people … if you will not be too cheap. This is the hotel they stayed at the Fairmont Princess was. It has a spa and shops and a kids club and all, and its very relaxing … but it is not exactly cheap. If the price does not bother you, is an excellent choice.

Help! I do not know where to stay in Cancun!?

Well I am the most indecisive person and can not choose where to stay. I have reduced 2 stops. I am going through a travel agent, but I can not change my mind and I feel bad. I'm looking for a station that many bars and restraurants while allowing easy walk to all nightlife. You also want the hotel to be beautiful (obviously) and maybe the Mexican style (see some stations with only a contemporary, not so important though.) Good pool, nice beach / blue water. My choice Park Royal Cancun and Blue Bay Getaway (who are 21 and 22 years). Blue Bay has not heard this beautiful beach, but what has changed since the hurricane? We will make the second week of August Any information or advice would be welcome. Thanks

Blue Bay has two hotels in Cancun. Make sure they offer. IT is far from the main hotel zone of Cancun. That transport, but is a bit boring. I prefer Royal Family Hotel and Park Royal is a very nice hotel. Have fun,

Mexican Immigration Laws

mexican immigration laws
Therefore, because the immigration laws of Mexico and China are sadly pathetic that Americans have to follow suit?

Is along the lines of beating his wife and say "Hey, you're lucky, I at least pay the bills and **** you. A large number of women victims of violence are not even that "

Only China and Mexico? hehe again all over the world. We're almost at the most lax in the world when IT comes to da border police.

Top 3 places to visit in Mexico City

Top 3 places to visit in Mexico City

For the 2 years I spent living and working in Mexico, I spent most of my time in Mexico City. Mexico City is a very big city, with a population of 111,211,789 (July 2009 est.), according to The World Fact Book. And although there are many great places to see while there, there are too many to write in this blog. So, here are a few that really caught my eye and should be on your list if your planning on visiting.

1. Coyoacan- Coyoacan is a very artsy, hippy, colonial-era suburb noted for its beautiful town center. IT has cobble stone streets, old mansions, and several of the cities most interesting museums. This was also the home of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. Coyoacan has a hippy feel with a very popular market every weekend in the town center(Centro de Coyoacan). At night, during the Christmas season there is an incredible slide show of beautiful Holiday themed art that is projected on the outside wall of the church in the town center.

2. Colonia Condessa-This area of Mexico City is a more upscale area and is very well known for some of the city’s hippest cafe’s, restaurants, nightclubs, and bars. The neighborhood is also well known for its parks and restored Art Deco buildings. From upscale restaurants, off-beat shops, art galleries, fashion shows, and nightclubs, you can pretty much find it all here.

3. Polanco- Similar in some ways to Condessa, Polanco is also a very upscale area of Mexico City. Here in Polanco you have a street named Mazaryk. This street is like the Rodeo Dr. of Beverly Hills, so be prepared to spend some pesos because Mazaryk is home to some of the best designers in the world. Other than shopping, there is also the Hard Rock Cafe, the W Hotel, and the Mexico City Museum located nearby. Most everything is within walking distance, the people are very friendly, and the area is very safe.

I spent much time in all three of these neighborhoods in Mexico and I always felt safe and never had any problems. And I definitely stand out with my blond hair and blue eyes. However, when traveling in a foreign country one should always be aware of his/her environment and take the necessary precautions. In a later post I will talk about the safety and overall do’s and dont’s while traveling in Mexico.

Some other places I would like to mention in passing, only because I did not spend too much time there. They are, San Angel and the Centro Historico. San Angel is very nice and has a great market on the weekends and the Centro Historico has an incredible museum where I saw a wonderful Diego Rivera exhibit, and not to mention the architecture. Oh! I almost forgot.

Mexico City was built on the ruins of the Ancient City Tenochtitlan, which was built on water and was the seat of the Aztec Empire. If you go to the Centro you can view a portion of the ruins and a large-scale model of how the empire looked in the 15th Century. I thought this was VERY cool and was happy I got to see it.

So, that’s about it, feel free to send in any questions or comments, until then…Happy Travels!
