Lodging a formal complaint Nursing Home in the State of Texas

In the State of Texas, DADS is for the Department Aging and Disability Services. IT is the institution to which you file a complaint nursing home.

When filing a complaint with DADS, there is some basic information is needed and there are certain steps to ensure that your complaint is well-presented. DADS will need the following information from the person filing the nursing home complaint: your full name, address, telephone number, name of the institution where abuse occurs, the address of the institution, telephone installation, details of the event or issue you want to complain.

Information specific date, day of week and time of day the problem has been observed, and the names interested people will help researchers. Reports can be made anonymously, but if submitted anonymously will not be able to find in findings of the report, therefore a good idea to keep this basic information to know the progress of your report. Your identity is protected by law, therefore, do not be afraid to give your personal information.

You should report as soon as you learn more about the abuse. Do not waste your time trying to resolve abuse or negligence on their own. It's best to leave the DADS program to handle the case.

A Once you file the report, DADS will consider the case of abuse of a nursing home. They sent an investigator on stage unannounced to see what actually happens to the victim. This visit is unannounced and can occur at any time.

Once the DADS fully studied the report and the establishment which should determine if the abuse is manifest. You should also inform the person who placed the report and make know the results of the investigation. In this case, the school could lose funding and permits and have a reason to pursue the abuse of a nursing home.

If you or a loved one has been the victim of nursing home abuse or neglect and DADS has determined that there was abuse to you or your family, you could be the basis for a process strong judiciary. If this happened to you, you should call a lawyer with offers of violence and neglect of nursing home as soon as possible.

Texas Law Regarding Immigrants and Driver’s Licenses to Receive Test in Court

Several new measures have been proposed in Texas over the past year in attempts to control the problems associated with illegal immigration. From Texas border security to increased round-ups by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to serious legal consequences for employers who hire undocumented workers, our Lone Star State of Texas is feeling the pressure that comes with its border location to take the initiative in passing sound immigration law. However, one of its controversial efforts is now being met with a lawsuit in state district court.

Starting last fall, the Texas Department of Public Safety began to require proof of legal immigration status before issuing a driver’s license. Not only is authorization to be in the United States now required, but the applicant must prove that he or she will have this status for at least the next six months. The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) now claim that these stricter regulations are denying licenses to people who are perfectly qualified applicants.

According to news reports, a Mexican businessperson who lives in Houston named Enrique Lara has become the face of the legal protest. Since his business visa is scheduled to expire at the end of February, Mr. Lara was denied a new license when he went to his local DPS office to submit a change of address. Mr. Lara has lived in Houston for five years. His immigration attorney has never had a problem extending his visa in the past and had no reason to believe that future roadblocks would occur.

Time will tell if the courts decide that the Texas Department of Public Safety has overstepped its legal limits.
